Wonder Oven dimensions: measure before you buy

Two of the three Wonder Ovens are 16.75 inches wide. That is wider than a lot of people picture, and it is the single most common reason a countertop oven goes back. Here are all the published figures in one place.

The measurement nobody takes

Width is the figure people check. Height is the one that catches them out. The standard gap between a kitchen worktop and the underside of a wall cabinet is commonly around 18 inches, and the Large and Pro are 13 inches tall before you allow any clearance above for heat and for opening the door.

Our Place does not publish a required clearance figure for any of the three ovens, which is a real gap in its documentation. Countertop ovens generally need air around and above them; check the manual that ships in the box before you slide one under a cabinet.

Depth matters too. At 13.25 inches, the Large and Pro will overhang a shallow worktop far less than they overhang a standard 24-inch one — but the door swings forward, so leave room in front as well as above.

Which one fits

Under a wall cabinet, or on a small worktop: the 11.5-inch standard Wonder Oven, and probably nothing else in the range. It occupies roughly the footprint of a large toaster.

On an open run of worktop or an island: either 28 L model. Both need 16.75 inches of clear width plus clearance.

If you are choosing between the two big ones on size: do not. They are dimensionally identical. The choice is about two cooking modes, not about space.

Buy to the space you measured, not the capacity you want

The gap between 11.5 and 16.75 inches of clear width is the entire decision on this page. If you measured once and it was close, the standard oven is the safe buy — and at 11.6 lb it is also the one you can lift into a cupboard between uses, which the 17.5 lb Large is not.

If you have the 16.75 inches with clearance to spare, take the Large rather than the Pro: identical published exterior, so the extra $80 buys modes, not fit. Either way, measure the oven on arrival before the return window closes.

Wonder Oven · 11.5 in. wide · 12 L · 6-in-1 · 200-450°F · 11.6 lb · fits a 4.5 lb chicken

Five inches narrower and six pounds lighter than the 28 L models, and it still fits a whole chicken.

What this page cannot tell you

These are Our Place's published figures, not our measurements — we have not put a tape measure on any of these ovens. Manufacturers sometimes quote dimensions with the handle excluded or the feet compressed. If your space is within an inch of the numbers above, measure the oven yourself on arrival rather than trusting a spec sheet, and keep the packaging until you have.
