Where is Our Place cookware made? The Always Pan is made in China — a fact you will find on Costco's listing, not on Our Place's

The one-sentence answer. The ceramic Always Pan is made in China; Our Place's drinking glasses are made outside Bangkok; its artisan collection is made in Oaxaca and Puebla, Mexico; and for the Wonder Oven, the Dream Cooker and the titanium range Our Place names no country anywhere we could find.

Our Place is a Los Angeles company. It talks at length about the people in its factories and almost never about the countries, so this page separates what the brand says from what a retailer's regulatory disclosure says. We earn a commission if you buy through the links here; nothing on this page depends on it.

What Our Place itself says

About the Always Pan factory, without naming the country. In its “Made for Our Place” article the brand describes the Essentials factory as run by a woman, with 401 makers and administrators, performance-based bonuses and health care, and says it visited 15 factories in person before choosing it. The country does not appear in the piece. The about page says the brand works with “women-owned manufacturing collectives” and points to its FAQs for manufacturing practices.

Where it does name a place. The drinking glasses come from a factory “just outside of Bangkok” operating since 1974, made by hand and passing through ten pairs of hands each. The Lunar New Year cleaver is “crafted in the knife-making region of China”; the platters in a Chinese province known for tea ware. The artisan collection is named workshop by workshop: Xaquixe Glass and La Chicharra Cerámica in Oaxaca de Juárez, weavers in San Juan Colorado, Oaxaca, and a stone-carving family in Puebla.

Where it says nothing. We read all eighteen cookware and appliance product pages on 16 October 2026. None states a country of origin — not the Always Pan, not the Wonder Oven, not the Dream Cooker, not the titanium or cast iron pans.

Where the country of origin actually appears

On a retailer's disclosure. Costco sells a 12.5″ Always Pan bundle, and its listing carries a Designated Chemical Disclosure that states “Made in: China”. That is a regulatory statement rather than marketing copy, which is why we treat it as the answer for the ceramic Always Pan. It is consistent with Our Place's own description of a single large factory for its Essentials range, and with the brand placing its cleaver in China's knife-making region.

What we could not find. No retailer disclosure we checked gives a country for the Wonder Oven, the Large Wonder Oven, the Wonder Oven Pro or the Dream Cooker, and Our Place's pages for the titanium and cast iron pans are silent too. We would rather leave those cells empty than fill them from a forum.

What “where it is made” tells you, and what it does not

The labour question. Our Place's statements about its factories — bonuses, health care, above-living-wage pay and benefits at its ceramics factory — are the brand's own descriptions. Its pages name no third-party audit or certification for the cookware factories, and we have not seen one. So this page quotes those statements as claims and does not repeat them as findings; an earlier draft of this page said Our Place “partners with factories that maintain fair labor practices” as if that were established, and it is not.

The safety question is separate. Where a pan is made says nothing about what is in its coating. Our Place states the ceramic coating is made without PFAS, the titanium range has no coating at all, and the Wonder Oven's interior is stainless steel. That is on non-toxic cookware and is titanium cookware safe, with the same rule: what is published, quoted, and what is not, said.

The questions people actually ask

Is the Always Pan made in the USA?

No. Costco's regulatory disclosure for the Always Pan says “Made in: China”, and Our Place's own description of its Essentials factory is consistent with that. Our Place is based in Los Angeles; the pan is not made there.

Why doesn't Our Place say where its pans are made?

We do not know, and we will not guess at motive. What we can say is that its sourcing writing is detailed about people — headcount, pay, benefits, visits — and silent on countries for everything except the glasses, the Lunar New Year pieces and the Mexican artisan collection.

Where is the Wonder Oven made?

Our Place does not say, and we found no retailer disclosure that does. The product page gives dimensions, wattage, temperature range and warranty, and no country.

Are Our Place's factories ethical?

Our Place says its Always Pan factory pays performance bonuses and provides health care, and that its ceramics makers earn above a living wage with full benefits. Those are the brand's statements. No audit or certification is named on its pages, so we report them as claims.

Does where it is made affect whether it is safe?

Not directly. The materials do: Our Place states a PFAS-free ceramic coating on the Always Pan and no coating at all on the titanium range. The detail is on non-toxic cookware.

How was this verified?

All eighteen cookware and appliance product pages on fromourplace.com, its about page and its “Made for Our Place” article were read on 16 October 2026, and Costco's Always Pan listing the same day. Where a source gives no country, this page says so rather than borrowing one from a forum. How we check these pages.

1919 Cookware is an independent guide to Our Place cookware, written to help you work out what to buy. We earn a commission when you buy through our links, at no extra cost to you, and it does not decide our verdicts — where a rival or a cheaper model is the better buy, we say so. Prices and specifications are read from each manufacturer's own published product data rather than from long-term kitchen testing, and the page below explains what that does and does not settle. We do not accept press samples and no brand reviews our pages before publication. Our Place prices and specifications last verified 16 October 2026; competitor prices 25 August 2026.
