Buy Carote if budget is the binding constraint and you want two working ceramic pans for fifty-three dollars. That is a legitimate purchase and for a first kitchen it may well be the right one. Read the Amazon listing carefully for the specifications the brand site omits.

On price, clearly. On everything else it cannot be assessed from published information, because Carote does not publish oven ratings, materials, warranty terms or a PFAS claim for the ceramic products we could verify.
The product we verified publishes no PFAS, PTFE or PFOA claim. Carote separately maintains a page disclosing PTFE content for some products, without specifying which. We cannot answer this from public information and will not pretend to.
GreenPan's Valencia Pro at $79.99 publishes a full specification sheet, a 600°F oven rating, a lifetime warranty and a PFAS statement. That is where we would send someone shopping on price.
Because Carote does not sell a single ceramic fry pan we could verify on a first-party storefront. The nearest comparable is a two-pan set at a different price point, and saying so is more useful than forcing a false equivalence.

Carote is the brand people find when they search for an Always Pan dupe, and on price it is not close — a two-pan ceramic set for less than half what one Always Pan costs. If the pans work, that is an enormous saving and there is no shame in taking it.
The problem is that we cannot tell you whether they work, and neither can Carote's own product page. Here is what happens when you try to fill in a specification table.

Let us be fair about this. Plenty of perfectly good cookware is sold with thin product copy, particularly by brands that grew through marketplaces rather than their own storefronts. Carote sells enormous volumes and has a great many satisfied owners. None of what follows is evidence that these pans are bad.
But you cannot make an informed purchase from information that does not exist. You do not know how hot you can take these pans, because Carote does not say. You do not know whether they survive a dishwasher, because Carote does not say. You do not know what the body is made of, what the coating is, or what happens if it fails in six months, because Carote does not say any of it.
The Always Pan publishes a named exclusion list. The Carote product we could verify publishes no PFAS, PTFE or PFOA claim at all in its own copy.
Carote does maintain a separate disclosure page stating that a product contains PTFE — it is a general page, not linked to the ceramic item above, and we could not establish which products it applies to. That ambiguity is itself the finding. If avoiding PTFE is why you are shopping this category, a brand that will not tell you clearly is a brand you cannot use for that purpose — regardless of how good the pans turn out to be.
We could not verify a like-for-like Carote pan, could not read an Amazon listing to check the specifications sold there, and could not find manufacturer-published figures for oven temperature, weight, materials or warranty.
