The short version. The 8.5-inch Always Pan is $109 — $26 less than the 10.5-inch — and the $26 buys you out of more than half the capacity (1.2 quarts against 2.6) and out of the steamer basket. It has the same Thermakind ceramic coating, the same 450°F oven rating, the same hand-wash rule and the same three-year limited warranty as the full-size pan, in the widest colour range Our Place makes: twelve colourways against eight. It weighs 2.76 lb with its lid. Buy it as the egg pan beside a bigger pan, or as the only pan for one person who cooks small. Do not buy it as the only pan for two.

It is the same pan, smaller. Same Thermakind ceramic coating — “mainly comprised of sand derivative, water, and alcohol” in Our Place's words, made without PFAS, PTFE, PFOA, lead or cadmium — same body of 100% certified post-consumer recycled aluminium, same 450°F oven rating, same modular lid and nesting beechwood spatula. Nothing has been cheapened to reach $109.
2.76 lb with the lid. The 10.5-inch is 3.9 lb with its lid; the cast iron is 8.75. If you lift pans with one hand, this is the Always Pan to do it with.
Twelve colourways — the most of any Always Pan. Sage, Blue Salt, Steam, Spice, Char, Tierra, Cielo, Lavender, Butter Yellow, Cream, Vanilla Bean and Forget-Me-Not Blue, read from Our Place's product data on 16 October 2026. The 10.5-inch has eight and the 12.5-inch five. Tierra, Cielo and Cream exist only in this size.
The only discounted ceramic pan in the range. Cream is $98.99 against the $109 of every other colour — the one ceramic Always Pan variant Our Place lists against a higher compare-at price. If the colour does not matter to you, that is a $10 saving nobody mentions.
Induction, stated. This pan's page says “compatible with all cooktops, including induction” in as many words. The 10.5-inch pan's own page does not say it.
1.2 quarts is small. That is Our Place's own figure. The 10.5-inch is 2.6 quarts and the 12.5-inch is 4. One or two eggs, a single portion of anything with sauce, a reheat. The 8.5-inch diameter is the number in the name; the 2.3-inch body height is the number that limits you.
No steamer basket. The 10.5-inch ships with the modular lid, the beechwood spatula and the steamer basket that doubles as a colander. The Mini's “what's included” lists the pan and the spatula; the lid is part of the product. The steamer basket is not in the box. Of the ten jobs in “10-in-1”, steaming and straining are the two this size does without the accessory that makes them easy.
The $26 gap is the real decision. $109 against $135 is a 19% saving for a pan with 46% of the capacity. Per quart it is the dearest Always Pan: about $91 a quart against $52 for the 10.5-inch and $40 for the 12.5-inch. Buy it for its size, not for its price.
Our Place's page shows two prices. $109 in the product header and $98.99 in the page's own metadata. The second figure is the Cream colourway; every other colour is $109.
The titanium Mini is $155. Same diameter, no coating, dishwasher safe, 1000°F, limited lifetime warranty, 3.26 lb with its lid — and $46 more. The ceramic Mini is the cheaper small pan by a distance now; in August the titanium Mini was $85 and undercut it. The titanium Mini review covers the trade.
All three: Thermakind ceramic nonstick, oven safe to 450°F, hand wash only, 3-year limited warranty, 100-day trial. Read from each product page and Our Place's product data on 16 October 2026. The Always Pan hub covers the 10.5-inch in full.
Price read from Our Place's product data on the date on the card. The card shows the standard $109; Cream is $98.99.

1919 Cookware is an independent guide to Our Place cookware, written to help you work out what to buy. We earn a commission when you buy through our links, at no extra cost to you, and it does not decide our verdicts — where a rival or a cheaper model is the better buy, we say so. Prices and specifications are read from each manufacturer's own published product data rather than from long-term kitchen testing, and the page below explains what that does and does not settle. We do not accept press samples and no brand reviews our pages before publication. Our Place prices and specifications last verified 16 October 2026; competitor prices 25 August 2026.
