Our Place set vs buying the pieces: every set is cheaper than its parts, by $24.05 to $218
Every Our Place set we priced on 20 October 2026 costs less than its pieces bought one at a time: from $24.05 (10.3%) on the Mini Cookware Duo to $218 (30.4%) on the Cookware + Bakeware Set. The 13-piece Cookware Set saves $158.05, 30.5%. Two catches: a set saves only if you wanted everything in it, and Our Place's own “value” figures for the titanium sets count pieces at prices it no longer charges.

Where the extra money goes
The 13-piece Set's extra $120 buys cookware, not accessories. Over the Duo it adds the Mini Always Pan ($109 alone) and the Mini Perfect Pot ($125 alone) with lids, a spatula and a spoon: $234 of pieces for $120, the two Minis at 51% of their price. Bought as the Duo plus the Mini Duo, the same pieces are $449.90; the Set is $89.95 less. The 13 pieces: four vessels, four lids, two spatulas, two spoons, a steamer basket.
Each further step costs less than the piece it adds, and none is free. Set to Set+: $100 for the 12.5-inch Large Always Pan, $159 alone. Set to Cookware + Bakeware: $140 for the Bakeware Set, $199.95 alone. Titanium Set to Set+: $150 for the 12.5-inch Always Pan Pro and its lid, $199 alone. Take the step if you would have bought the piece; otherwise the smaller set is the better buy.
The titanium “value” figures are stale. Our Place's product data gives the Titanium Pro Cookware Set a $698 compare-at price and the Duo 1.0 $374. On 20 October the Set's four pieces cost $578 on their own pages and the Duo's two $324. The Duo's gap is exactly the 7 qt pot's old price: $195 on 25 August, $145 now. Against today's prices the savings are $78.05 and $54.05.
The trial, the warranty and the timing
The 100-day trial covers a set like anything else. Returns are accepted within 100 days of the order shipping; the refund covers the item, not shipping fees; each item goes back in its own box with its own label. That is Our Place's policy as read on 16 October 2026, on Our Place warranty and returns. Nothing in it says whether one piece of a set can go back alone.
Three warranties across the sets. Always Pan and Perfect Pot sets: 3 years limited from delivery, for purchases on or after 1 May 2025. Essentials sets: “a 2-year limited warranty”. Titanium Pro sets: limited lifetime, original purchaser. Same page.
Prices move. Between 25 August and 16 October 2026 the Titanium Pro Cookware Set went from $469.95 to $499.95 and the Titanium Pro Cookware Duo from $279.95 to $269.95; the Essentials Cookware Set showed $275 in Our Place's catalogue on 16 October and $349.95 on its page on 20 October. Sales show on the page, never in the product data; no set showed one on 20 October. The lower figures in the data are single colourways: Duo in Cream $195.99, Set in Butter Yellow $297.99, Mini Duo in Butter Yellow $169.99. Check the page price against Our Place prices first.
Our Place does not say whether a single piece from a set can be returned within the 100 days, or how it would be refunded. It does not explain “1.0” and “2.0” on the titanium sets beyond “a finer micro-texture” on the current Set's page, and does not price the 10.5″ lid the Titanium Pro Always Pan Duo leaves out.
